I confirm that I have given the medical information listed above for the purposes of my participation in the event. I understand this information will only be used for that purpose that it may be shared with third parties running the event and will be retained for as long as necessary to comply with the organiser/RYACW’s legal obligations. RISK STATEMENT It must be recognised that sailing/windsurfing/winging/powerboating is by its nature an unpredictable sport and therefore inherently involves an element of risk. By taking part in the event, you agree and acknowledge that: (i) You are aware of the inherent element of risk involved in the sport and you accept responsibility exposing yourself to such inherent risk whilst taking part in the event; (ii) You will comply at all times with the instruction of the event/session co-ordinator and particularly with regard to handling of boats, wearing of buoyancy aids, and wearing of suitable clothing for the conditions; (iii) You accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by your own negligence; (iv) You will not participate in the event whilst your ability to skipper or crew a dinghy, windsurfer or powerboat is impaired by alcohol, drugs or whilst otherwise unfit to participate; (v) The provision of safety boat cover is limited to such assistance, as can be practically provided in the circumstances; (vi) You are aware of any specific risks drawn to your attention by the event Co-ordinator. MISCONDUCT You understand that the event co-ordinator may exclude anyone from a particular session and evict anyone from the premises who refuses to comply with these Registration Terms or who misconducts themselves in any way or who causes damage or annoyance to other persons. PHOTOGRAPHY We may take photographs and video footage of the event for use by us in connection with the promotion of us and our activities. If you object to the use of these images please e-mail admin@ryacymruwales.org.uk. CANCELLATION Every attempt will be made to ensure the event runs. However, the event organiser reserves the right to cancel the event at any time where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to unsuitable conditions or insufficient numbers. Cancellation by the applicant: In the event of cancellation by yourself, you will be subject to the following conditions; Less than 4 weeks notice: · If the event can be resold a 10% admin charge will be taken from your payment and the rest refunded. Refunds will be processed after reselling the place or the start of the event, whichever comes first. · If the event cannot be resold the RYA will retain 100% of the event cost no refund will be available. Cancellation by RYACW: The full event fee, including any deposit will be returned. RYACW will not be liable under any circumstances for any cost or loss incurred as a result of its failure to conduct a particular course. RYACW reserves the right to cancel any event in the event of bad weather, insufficient number of delegates, equipment failure or otherwise.
